About Us

The unique Yamaha method has been developing talent around the world since 1954 and turns traditional music tuition on its head.

Yamaha teachers begin by focusing on students' listening skills and encouraging them to copy what they hear.  Reading the printed music comes later, providing a solid understanding based on first hand experience.

All teaching takes place in small groups with an emphasis on making learning fun and students learn on state-of-the-art Yamaha musical equipment.

Yamaha Music School Kendal currently offers courses in keyboard, electric guitar, vocals and drums.
